History
An Octopus, despite being very slow moving, is not easy to catch. Its first line of defense is camouflage, the ability to match the colors of its surroundings. Secondary defenses include an inky spray that fills the water and makes pursuit difficult. If an Octopus is caught, it can lose an arm without damage and later regrow the missing appendage. For these reasons, along with its intelligence, the Octopus is widespread and its conversation status is strong.
