Stearman Aircraft became a subsidiaryof Boeing in 1934. Widely known as theStearman, BoeingStearmanorKaydet, it served as a primary trainer for the United States Army Air Forces, the United States Navy(as the N2S), and with the Royal Canadian Air Forceas the Kaydet throughout World War II.
The PT-17 (N2S-3) version had Continental engine, 3519 delivered.
