History
Stegosaurus survived an impossibly long time, with a fossil record extending from 200 million to 146 million years ago. That makes the 5 million year timespan of Brachiosaurs seem brief in contrast. They did co-exist however, as Brachiosaurus fossils have been found in rocks dating between 155 million and 150 million years. They could have shared feeding grounds, with Brachiosaurus ripping apart the tallest trees and Stegosaurus chomping on low bushes. While Stegosaurus likely took an active role in its defense, using its spiked tail to ward off predators, a massive fully grown Brachiosaurus, measuring 50 feet tall, had little to fear from the local carnivores.
