Did you know that iguanas are actually excellent swimmers? In fact, they spend a large majority of their life in the wild around bodies of water, and often elude would-be predators by swimming away from them. Most iguana species are classified as least concern by the IUCN, although there are some that are currently threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation.
